Khushboo Patel grew up in Baroda (a not-so-small city in India), earned a law degree in Mumbai and a master’s degree at Oxford University, moved to Florida to marry her childhood friend, gave up her law career, started a business, and sold it a few years ago to start her two forever adventures – motherhood and writing for children – where she oscillates between finding and losing herself.

She writes lyrical picture books filled with heart and is currently working on her first upper middle-grade novel-in-verse. The desire for a more empathetic world informs and underlines everything she writes.

She likes all books but loves lyrical picture books and coming-of-age stories about ‘ordinary’ people.
